Graeme Carlin was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1995 and is the principal lawyer of GC Legal & Corporate. He has 20+ years of legal experience focussing on corporate energy and resources and technology law. Graeme has a proven track record for cost effective and adaptable high quality legal services. He supports corporate legal requirements by applying broad and complementary legal, commercial and risk management skills.
Graeme has sector experience in energy and resources, project development, infrastructure (gas, rail & port), land access and technology commercialisation. His skills have been refined through providing legal services relating to complex and high value contract negotiation and drafting, unregulated M&A, access to infrastructure, capital raising, working with joint ventures and shareholders arrangements and corporate governance, as well as experience managing large litigation and regulatory matters.
Graeme’s experience spans top tier (Clayton Utz) and boutique corporate firm experience advising on corporate M&A in the energy and resources and technology commercialisation, as well as the State Solicitors Office. He has had significant senior in-house and General Counsel (ASX top 200) experience with resources companies operating and developing high value projects, together with technology commercialisation experience with Australia's peak science body the CSIRO.
Graeme has experience in leading and coordinating strategic legal processes and consulting with senior internal and external stakeholders, including corporate management, consultants and government regulatory agencies. Graeme has advised boards and senior management of Australian and foreign listed and unlisted companies.
